Where these numbers come from

US Department of Transportation, Bureau of Transportation Statistics, Consumer Airfare Report: Table 4 — City-Pair Markets That Experienced Decreases in Average Fare. Figures are averages of fares actually paid in the quarter shown, across all carriers and itineraries in that city-pair market. They are not an offer, not a quote, and not a price any individual traveller was charged. The report is published with a lag of several quarters. Q1 2026 is the most recent period this site has loaded.

The year-over-year change shown is computed from the published dollar change and prior-year average, not copied from the report's own percentage column.
